SZA Pulled From TDE Championship Tour -- Here's Why

SZA has been temporarily removed from the TDE Championship Tour due to a vocal injury. Her label's president Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith made the major announcement on social media.

On Tuesday (May 22) evening, he posted a screenshot of a text message on Instagram and Twitter. It read: “I got some bad news. I have to take SZA off for a few days on the tour. Her vocal chords are swollen and she have to rest her voice to prevent any permanent damage."

Top Dawg continued: "We been monitoring her close and this is the reason she missed the Arizona and New Mexico dates. She’ll see the doctor again in a few days and I’ll update you guys on her status. As for the dates she missed, we’ll figure out a way to make it up to you guys." Take a look at the news below.

The TDE Championship Tour still has a few more dates before it wraps up on June 16. iHeartRadio recently crashed the set of some of the artists' rehearsals for their show dates. "It feels good because it let's me know we came a long way. People don't know, man," Jay Rock exclusively told iHeartRadio about it. "And performing for like 100 people or like 50 people at a time. From that to seeing crowds and a sea of people, man it's a blessing." Check out that convo here
