MEEK MILL: Airport Assault Case Flies Away

TeeRoy's 2 Cents:

  • Meek's legal team deserves a raise.
  • There's levels to this stuff.
  • Now all he has to do is stay out of trouble.

Meek Mill's been on a winning streak. Last week, the Wins and Losses rapper caught a lenient deal in a reckless driving case after riding through the streets of New York City popping wheelies, originally earning a reckless endangerment charge. Now, he's had a second case dismissed.

Back in March, Meek was charged with misdemeanor assault after a physical altercation with a pair of airport employees requesting a photo at St. Louis International Airport. The two employees were also charged and allegedly lost their jobs. In lieu of an actual arrest, Meek was summoned to appear in court and, at the time, the altercation posed a threat to his probation on a weapons and drug conviction. According to one of the employees, he was acting in self-defense at the time of the brawl.

Now, it seems that all is well on Meek's end as TMZ reports that his legal team, headed by attorney Joe Tacopina, once described as the "most hated lawyer in New York," has struck a deal with prosecutors to have the case dismissed if Meek Mill completes community service. And since he's already served his hours at Philadelphia’s Veterans Association, the case has been dropped. (TMZ)
